Sheikh's Ransom (Silhouette Desire, 1210)
Published in Paperback by Silhouette (April, 1999)
Average review score:

Wonderful sensual romance.I can't get enough of this author's Sheikh books. They are so romantic and sensual that I can't imagine curling up in bed with anything else at the end of a long day.
I think this book is fabulous and I recommend it to everyoneMy review of this book is that it is a kind of story that you wish was out there because I could not put this book down until the very end.

The Sudbury Valley School Experience, 3rd edition
Published in Paperback by Sudbury Valley School Pr (01 January, 1992)
Average review score:

The Future of EducationWe're currently in a paradigm shift in education, and this book documents how Sudbury Valley School in Framingham, Massachusetts has reacted quite successfully to that shift. They have created a school where "the inmates are in charge," meaning the kids control everything about the school...and do so very successfully. For over 30 years, kids have run the school and gotten a better education as a result that they could get at any other school. A remarkable book, and a remarkable story. If you're into the idea that kids need to be controlled, guided, and "exposed to new ideas," you won't like this book. But if you recognize that kids are their own best guides to learning what they need most, when they need it most, you'll recognize everything in this book. A real gem! very interesting thoughtsI think everyone should read this book to keep an open mind about schooling.

Sweet Texas Dreams
Published in Paperback by Kensington Pub Corp (Mass Market) (December, 1996)
Average review score:

Fifth book in a terrific seriesEncourage the publisher to reprint and promote the entire Bass Family series starting with "Temptation's Trail." These books stand out not just as historical romances but as fine westerns adventures. Harmon Bass is one of most atypical romantic heroes I've ever read--also one of the best in this or any other genre.
Please, oh please, not the last Bass!Another wonderful story of the Bass Family Saga! Becca has become a Bass to be proud of. Hopefully Dana Ransom will at least give one more look into the lives of the people we have grown to love.
What about Randall? Please, we need some kind of closure!

Temptation's Trail
Published in Paperback by Kensington Pub Corp (Mass Market) (February, 1994)
Average review score:

Temptation's TrailWorried and desperate, rich Amanda Duncan travels from her priveleged life in a fancy boarding school in New York to the arid frontier of Texas. Convinced of her ability of finding her missing brother with the help of one legendary Harmon Bass, she sets out on the Camanche Trail only to have her rugged half-breed tracker lead her to much more than the fortune in missing jewels that had dissappeared with her brother, but to a love that was waiting at the end of the trail.
Best book by Dana RansomThis is the beginning book of the Texas series and it is definitely the best one. If you like western romances you'll like this one.

The As/400 As a Business Solution
Published in Paperback by Advice Pr (April, 1999)
Average review score:

What you need to know about the modern AS/400.As many have said, but I did not believe until I read this book, the new IBM AS/400 is not the system that it used to be. By the time I finished this book, I felt I had an excellent understanding of how the AS/400 worked, and how it could be used within my business. I would recommend it to anyone.

Carl Rogers on Encounter Groups
Published in Hardcover by HarperCollins (June, 1970)
Average review score:

Carl Rogers on Encounter GroupsA great book which explores the development and impact of group therapy on the person and society at large. This is a must have for anyone looking to understand the group process as it develops, and it's impact on the individuals who experience it.

Carl Rogers on Personal Power
Published in Hardcover by Doubleday (April, 1977)
Average review score:

Awesome!Books aren't always going to give people insight or truly cover the scope of their feelings, but no matter what your first inclination towards this book is, it will present some things that may even give you a hint of new insight or a new way of looking at things. What Rogers describes becomes almost a "mystical" sensation, one of the few life affirming attitudes that help us rule out logical paradigms and be comfortable with our feelings.

Children of the Civil War (Picture the American Past)
Published in Library Binding by Carolrhoda Books (July, 1998)
Average review score:

Good Introduction to the Civil War.Enjoyable for ages 6-12. (A read-to-me book for younger readers.) The text is understandable, interesting and accompanied by photos or drawings on almost every page.
True stories of children--southern, northern, black and white--provide an excellent understanding of the impact of the war on children and adults.
Unlike some other childrens' civil war books that I have seen, there are no curse words here! I would highly recommend this title for individuals, school libraries, and church libraries.

The Chimney Sweep's Ransom (Trailblazer Books)
Published in Paperback by Bethany House (August, 1992)
Average review score:

Best book in the worldNobody in my classroom wanted to read this book because it's a learning book. But when I saw it and picked it up, I knew it was my soulmate. This book has taught me a lot about loving God, being kind to others, and especially loving and respecting your family. And that's why I think other children should read this book. And I hope that they'll enjoy it as much as I did. Thank you.
